Chief Investment Officer and Wealth Advisor

“My philosophy is centered on three points: Be positive. Be thoughtful. Use the Golden Rule.”

Tim helped found RBG Wealth Advisors in 2022, where he proudly serves as Chief Investment Officer and wealth advisor. He previously worked as a senior investment advisor and financial advisor for a registered investment advisory firm, after starting his career in public accounting as a part of the tax group of Reynolds, Bone, & Griesbeck PLC.

As a wealth advisor, Tim provides financial advisory services for individuals and families in a variety of areas including investment management, cash flow and goals-based financial planning, retirement, tax planning, and estate planning. He also provides investment management and advisory services for institutional clients such as nonprofits, foundations, and businesses. As CIO, Tim serves as chair of the firm’s investment committee, leading portfolio construction and allocation.

First and foremost, Tim strives to be a trusted advisor and dedicated professional in a service-focused business. He sees it as his duty to be positive with clients, consider their goals and issues thoughtfully, and treat them how he would want to be treated in the same circumstances.

Tim is the regular author of RBG Wealth Advisors’ Wealth Weekly. He has contributed to or been quoted in such outlets as Barron’s, CNBC Make It, The Commercial Appeal, Memphis Flyer, Authority Magazine, and other industry publications. Tim recently served as Vice President of Programs and Director for the Memphis Chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and President and Director for the Financial Planning Association of Greater Memphis. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Tim has called the Memphis area home since he started his career. He loves the city for its resources, history, and culture, as well as for its small-town feel. Tim and his wife, Mary Agnes, are the parents of three wonderful children, Wilkes, Edie, and Mary Wright, as well as a goldendoodle, Penny. In his free time, Tim enjoys cheering on Ole Miss sports teams, golfing, and hunting. When he has the opportunity to travel, his favorite destination is “anywhere with a beach and a golf course.”
